MY IMPACT CHALLENGE
As part of my larger documentary project, Bound By Myth, My team member and I visited and interviewed Chef Corbin, a formerly incarcerated chef in Downtown Los Angeles, where we also asked restaurant guests along other individuals to sign petitions to stop mass incarceration. We included this experience in a short five-minute application film for the Bill of Rights “My Impact Challenge”. Our film highlighted the injustices surrounding mass incarceration and the complexities of race, earning us a Civic Engagement Award for making a tangible impact within the community.
